The country club community of Cowan's Ford is located in Stanley at the southern shore of Lake Norman. It offers beautiful houses, some waterfront and some with beautiful waterviews. The country club itself was founded in 1963 and is a private member owned club. The championship layout follows Donald Ross principles presenting a variety of challenging and fun to play shots for all levels of golfers. There is a 40,000 square foot practice facility and a clubhouse that serves as a gathering place for families as well as the hub of social activity.
And the Club is not just about golf! There are 4 regulation size tennis courts where clinics for adults and juniors are held. Members can cool off in an Olympic size swimming pool with a separate pool for little ones. The Club also offers private docks and a boat launch for members.
